GOOD LIVING RIDDIM produced by FINATIC RECORDS 1999
Good Living Overview
In 1999, a new bashment release brought together some of dancehall’s brightest names. A R P, known for the song "All I Really Want," showed their talent with smooth vocals. Bumba Ranks, who performed "Stop The War," added a strong message to the mix. Capleton, a popular artist famous for his hit "Who Dem," delivered "Badman Knowledge" with his usual fiery energy. Cobra, with the track "Badman More Dan No Man," and Honorebel, who sang "Good Living," also helped make this release special. Honorebel is well known for his later international hit "Now You See It (Shake That Ass)" with Pitbull. The bashment rhythm was created by FINATIC RECORDS, a production team known for their work in both reggae and dancehall. The label has helped shape the sound of modern dancehall and has reached fans worldwide through digital releases and streaming platforms. This lively rhythm brought a fresh energy to 1999’s street dances. The songs, like "Fake It" by Junie Ranks and "Feel Like Working" by Lady Saw, kept people moving. Other artists such as Pangkai with "Vibes A Spread," Pinchers Jr Demus with "Badmine Inna De Camp," and Simpleton with "Jacobs Ladder" all added their own style. With so many voices and styles, this bashment release gave new and established artists a place to shine, making it a favorite in dancehall history.
