Winners Riddim comes from the pairing of Tony “CD” Kelly’s K-Licious Music and DubShot Records, two names with very different kinds of weight in dancehall. Kelly is one of the genre’s most recognizable modern-era producers, with a long run of sleek, radio-ready riddims behind him, while DubShot has spent years pushing reggae and dancehall through an international distribution lane. This set lands in 2015 and sits right where that kind of partnership makes sense: polished, versatile, and ready for both selectors and casual listeners.

The riddim has a bright, elastic swing rather than a heavy bashment stomp. The groove leaves room for melody, which helps the voices ride cleanly over the rhythm without getting crowded out. It feels built for a juggling set, with hooks that can snap from singjay to melody singer without losing shape. Cecile opens with “Neva You, ” and her sharp phrasing gives the riddim immediate attitude. Shaggy’s “You Can Make Me, ” with Cecile alongside him, is the commercial centerpiece, mixing his easy charm with her bite.
