Six voices ride K1 Entertainment’s Been Bad Riddim, but Bounty Killer’s title cut is the one that gives the project its bite, with the rest of the lineup leaning into the same hard, no-nonsense dancehall energy. The rhythm has that stripped-back, street-level feel built for badman talk and confrontation, and the sequencing keeps the pressure on through Dejavu and Chico’s “Call U Back, ” Kirk Thuglas’ “War Is On, ” and Pretty Don’s “Bentley Punani. ” Yanique Sasha’s “Real Love” adds a sharper contrast before the instrumental closes things out and leaves the riddim itself hanging in the air. K1 Entertainment keeps the whole thing tight and functional, the kind of 2015 project that’s less about polish than about giving the deejays room to lock in and cut through.
