Vinyllionaires Club Riddim – Giddimani Records

Perfect Giddimani keeps the riddim in familiar territory for Giddimani Records, the label he founded after breaking out as one of reggae’s more consistent modern roots voices. By 2019, the imprint was already known for juggling conscious singles and compilation projects, and Vinyllionaires Club Riddim fits neatly into that lane, reworking the old Studio One Moving Away foundation into a fresh roots-dancehall shape.

The production has that warm, stripped-back feel that lets the bass and drums carry the tune, with enough bounce in the pocket for singers and deejays to ride it without crowding the groove. Perfect Giddimani opens with “Inspiration, ” and his own touch is central to the whole set: restrained, soulful, and firmly conscious rather than flashy. Zamunda’s “Love and Affection” brings a smoother lovers’ angle, while Black Prophet’s “Say Yes” adds a harder, more exhortational tone. Lutan Fyah’s “Haven’t Met Me Yet” is the kind of commanding roots cut that works because of his rugged vocal presence, and Teacha Dee’s “Attitude Of Gratitude” keeps the message direct and grounded.

The rest of the juggling broadens the mood without breaking the spell. Greg Roy’s “Roots” and Da Real Storm’s “My Sensi” underline the earthy side of the rhythm, while Ras Fraser Jr’s “Burn It” and Young Shanty’s “Fly Like This” bring a more lifted, melodic finish. Robbie Rule’s “Memories” rounds out the package with the kind of reflective writing that makes this riddim feel less like a one-off drop and more like part of Giddimani Records’ ongoing roots catalogue.
