Produced by Giddimani Records in 2018, Chalice Geezas Riddim is a six-track reggae set that leans into a weed-themed concept with a mix of veteran and rising voices. Perfect Giddimani leads the project with Wake N Bake featuring Young Shanty, while Prince Levy’s Weed Man, Teacha Dee’s Keep Me Away, and Da Real Storm featuring Amlak Redsquare on Kutchie Load help round out the lineup. Real McKoy also turns in the title track, and the label cut closes the set as an instrumental. The release was built with live instrumentation by House Of Riddim, which gives the riddim a more organic feel than a straight digital dancehall pattern, and it sits comfortably between roots-reggae pacing and a lighter, more playful dancehall edge.
