Talent Riddim – Wellowell Production

Talent Riddim came out in 2023 on Wellowell Production, the imprint run by Natty King, and it lands as a rootsy juggling with a clean, melodic frame rather than a heavy digital attack. The rhythm sits in that warm, mid-tempo reggae pocket where the bassline carries the weight and the vocals get room to stretch, which suits the cast well.

The set pulls in Turbulence, Lutan Fyah, Natty King, Ginjah, Nature Ellis, Freshess, Perfect Giddimani, Chezidek, Warrior King, Jah Device and Trinity, with Trinity appearing twice on “Fence” in clean and radio versions and guest touches from U Brown, Mr. Peppa and Infa on selected cuts. Natty King’s own “Lovey Dovey” gives the riddim a romantic tilt, while Lutan Fyah’s “She Is Fine” and Turbulence’s “Be Happy” bring the kind of conscious, singjay flow both artists are known for. Chezidek’s “Give Thanks” and Warrior King’s “How Longer” keep the message side front and center, and Perfect Giddimani’s “Malawi Goldi” adds a slightly more personal, conversational edge.

What makes the project click is the way it balances veteran voices with a few less familiar names without losing its roots identity. The production keeps the arrangement uncluttered, letting each singer color the same frame differently.
