Digital One Production’s Roots and Righteousness Riddim arrived in February 2023 as a conscious reggae juggling with real veteran weight at the top. Richard Roache is the name behind Digital One Records/Production, and this was one of those projects that underlined his ear for roots singers with a message. The riddim also carried Famshouse Music credit on some platforms, but the release sits squarely in the Digital One camp.

The cut list is heavy: Junior Reid, Mykal Rose, Lutan Fyah, Bugle, Duane Stephenson, Sizzla, Mr. Pike, Warrior King, Ibo Fyah, and Jesse Royal. The official release ran as a 10-song set and dropped on February 17, 2023.

Musically, Roots and Righteousness has that warm, upright reggae pulse that leaves room for voices to work. It moves with a steady mid-tempo bounce, the kind of rhythm that favors strong melodies, chant-heavy hooks, and lyrics with a moral edge.
