Train Riddim comes in with that springy, rail-rolling dancehall pulse that feels more playful than hard-edged, and the lineup leans into the cheeky side of the riddim with cuts like Lady Saw’s “It’s Like That, ” Harry Toddler’s “Gal Snatcher, ” and Sizzla’s “Don’t Deal, ” while Ken Boothe linking with Shakka Pow on “Love Train” gives the set a little extra weight. The voicing stays busy but not overcrowded, moving from Determine and Esco to veteran names like General B and Power Man, and the production keeps the groove tight enough for the chant pieces and sly one-liners to land cleanly. It’s a 2007 various-artists dancehall set with 12 tracks in all, closing on Teflon’s “Fight We. ”
