The Hataclaps Riddim comes off lean and to the point, a four-track 2017 dancehall juggling from Real Live Records with Navino, Raine Seville, Gregg and Enestee all taking a turn. Raine Seville’s “Challenge Me” was issued in early March 2017, which lines up with the kind of fresh, mid-tempo dancehall push this project was aiming for. Gregg’s “Road Code” and Enestee’s “The Champ” keep the energy clipped and competitive, while Navino’s “You Fi Bruki” opens things with a harder edge. Real Live kept the lineup tight rather than crowding the riddim with extras, and the sequencing moves from Navino through Raine Seville into Gregg and Enestee like a small, deliberate showcase rather than a loose compilation.
