Instruction Riddim – First Name Music

A taut, mid-tempo dancehall cut with a sharp little bounce runs through Instruction Riddim, and the 2017 First Name Music project keeps its focus tight with just four tracks. RDX sound right at home on “25 Bouncing, ” leaning into the kind of playful, crowd-pulling energy that has always made them a dancehall staple, while Elephant Man’s “Dance For Me” and Leftside’s “Settle Down” keep the riddim moving without crowding it. The production is credited to Troy McClean’s First Name Music, and that gives the whole thing a lean, no-frills feel rather than a heavyweight compilation mood.
