Zillion Riddim – Stainy Productions

Stainy Productions line this one with a lean, bouncy dancehall groove that leaves plenty of room for the voices to carry the weight, and the cleaner takes on “Party App” and “Rather Die” give the set a little extra shape without changing its basic pulse. Bugle’s “Cut To Fit” and Kalado’s “I Rather Die” land among the sharper cuts, while Chi Chi Ching’s “Party App” brings the most obvious replay value. There’s a version cut at the tail end too, which is the kind of detail that matters on a proper riddim release. Zillion Riddim came out in 2017 and runs nine tracks with eight different artists across the sequence.
