Bubble Nut Riddim – Hide N Seek Records

Bubble Nut Riddim came out of Hide N Seek Records in 2012 with a short, five-track dancehall set that keeps the focus tight and no-nonsense. Shizzle Dan’s “Bubblenut” is the obvious title cut, but 645’s “Love Copyright” and Isayah Ace’s “Only One” give the project a little more shape, slipping in different vocal styles over the same groove. Neicy’s “Do It Like That” and the Noble Vox and Preddy combination on “Groove With It” round it out with a more playful, party-ready feel. It’s the kind of mid-2010s-era dancehall riddim that doesn’t try to overcomplicate anything: a small cast, a clear concept, and enough bounce to keep each artist working the pocket.
