SUNFLAIRE RIDDIM produced by ONE HOUSE PRODUCTIONS 2016
Sunflaire Overview
In 2016, the Sunflaire Riddim brought a fresh wave of energy to the soca and dancehall scene. This project became a favourite during Carnival, and people still play its parade flow at Carnival flashbacks today. The music lifted spirits, with each track carrying the joy and wildness of the season. Compared to other Carnival riddims from that time, Sunflaire Riddim stood out for its smooth mix of soca and dancehall vibes. While some Carnival projects were heavy on one style, this one blended the two, making it feel at home both on the beach and in the dancehall. P Ink’s “Naked Party” was a real highlight, bringing a bold, fun energy that matched the Carnival mood. David Harmony followed with “Now A Days Girl,” adding a cool, catchy hook. Elephant Man, known for his hit “Pon De River, Pon De Bank,” kept the party moving with “Wine Up.” Elephant Man’s long career and his ability to hype up any crowd made his song a must-play for parade DJs. Ghandi’s “Nah Laugh Wid De Road” kept the pace strong, while Iyara gave two different sounds with “Hood Ina Yuh Ole” and “Swing Pon De Pole.” Each artist added their own flavour, making the riddim feel like a real group celebration. ONE HOUSE PRODUCTIONS led the project. This producer is known for working with both new and legendary artists, helping to shape modern Caribbean music.
