Cut in New York in 2004 under Big Yard Music Group, the Strip Tease riddim sits in that glossy, bounce-heavy dancehall pocket Shaggy’s camp was pushing at the time, with a sharp one-way sequence that runs from Bounty Killer’s “Beauty Queen” and Lady Saw’s “Strip Tease” through Elephant Man’s “Spy” and Vybz Kartel’s “Fiance. ” The VP/Big Yard issue also turned up on vinyl as Strip Down (Strip Tease Riddim), and the LP closes with the instrumental version, which keeps the riddim itself in the frame after the vocal cuts.
