Duct Tape Riddim – Specialist Production

Running through 2008’s Duct Tape Riddim, Specialist Production keeps the energy tight and blunt, with a dry, stampy dancehall groove that leaves plenty of room for the voices to cut through. Anthony B’s “Nuh Put It Deh” and Turbulence’s “Think” bring the most bite, while Charly Black’s “Fre Fre” and Don Mafia’s “Best Fren” lean into the tune’s rough-edged party flex. Mikeylous and Elephant keep the juggling moving without softening the mood, and the whole set plays like a compact eight-cut slice of late-2000s dancehall. Even the instrumental feel hangs around like part of the story, setting up the last pass from Turbulence and leaving the riddim with a lean, stubborn pulse.
