Bob Marley’s grandson Skip Marley teamed up with 2-time Grammy award winner H.E.R. in his latest soft reggae jam titled ‘Slow Down’. H.E.R. gave a good account of herself passing off as a capable reggae artist at her first crack at the genre. The track precludes Skip’s much anticipated studio album to be released soon. The track was produced via Tuff Gong Intl./Island Records.
The chemistry between the pair resonates all through the song making it one of Skip’s top songs this calendar year. Other notable tracks this year from Skip include a collaboration with uncle Damian “Jr. Gong†Marley in ‘That’s Not True‘. He has also worked with Major Lazer in ‘Can’t Take It From Me’. And most notably with French Montana in ‘Call Me Human‘ which is a Godfather of Harlem soundtrack. ‘Enemy‘ earned Skip critical acclaim from Rolling Stone, Fader, Hypebeast, Vibe, and many other top magazines as well.
