New Line Riddim – Jstorm Musiq

Jstorm Musiq’s New Line Riddim lands as a compact 2021 dancehall set with nine cuts from eight artists, and the sequencing leans into variety by doubling up on a couple of tracks in clean and raw versions. Korexx’s “Snitch” and Saddam Aerodynamic and Tydalis’ “Big Bumpa” both get the clean/raw treatment, which gives the project a little extra DJ-friendly utility, while Amadisiq’s “Chap Tru, ” Essae Jv’s “Salute, ” and Rushawn’s “Triumphant” keep the rest of the riddim moving in different directions. Jstorm had already been pushing young voices with the earlier Stormtrap project, and here he stays in that lane with a roster that feels geared toward fresh names and direct-to-the-point dancehall delivery. The riddim was released on March 19, 2021.
