MASTERS BLEND RIDDIM produced by JA PRODUCTIONS 2012
Masters Blend Overview
The bashment flow of 2012 started in a lively studio session. The arranger wanted every track to carry joyful energy, but still sound fresh and modern. The creative direction was clear: blend catchy melodies with the hard-hitting dancehall rhythms that keep people moving. JA PRODUCTIONS led the project. This Jamaican label, founded by producer Justus Arison, is known for making some of the most memorable dancehall riddims of the last decade. They have worked with top artists and helped push dancehall music into new spaces, both in Jamaica and overseas. Each artist on the Masters Blend Riddim brought a unique style. Farenheit’s “One Good Chance” stands out with smooth vocals and a hopeful message. Konshens, who is famous for his hit “Bruk Off Yuh Back,” adds his confident voice to “Bad Gyal.” His track brings a streetwise edge and catchy hooks. Lord Kossity, a French dancehall star, delivers “Ready Now” with his signature deep tone. Million Stylez, known for his international hit “Miss Fatty,” brings a gentle, inviting vibe to “Come Over.” Lex drops “Hairstyle,” giving the riddim a playful twist with his energetic delivery. Together, these songs showed the full range of the riddim. The bashment flow from this project echoed through clubs and parties across the island. Many fans and DJs say it captured the true bashment spirit of 2012, giving dancehall a new burst of life and style.
