Jim Screechie Riddim arrived in 2010 via Equiknoxx Music, the Kingston collective led by Gavsborg and Time Cow, and it sits near the point where their experimental instincts still felt fully locked into the dancehall system. Equiknoxx were already developing a reputation for oddball, high-impact production, and this riddim is one of the early cuts that made their name travel well beyond Jamaica.
