By 2009, Equiknoxx Music were already sketching the left-field side of modern dancehall, and Stay Far Riddim sits right in that early catalogue with a lean three-track run. The cut has that sharp, minimal pressure you expect from the crew: dry drums, clipped bass, and a tense, no-nonsense swing that leaves plenty of space for the vocals to bite. Rushan’s “My Life” keeps the energy personal, but Capleton’s “Stay Far From Them” is the anchor here, bringing his usual militant edge to a rhythm that feels built for warning shots rather than party slackness. The package closes with the “Stay Far Riddim – Version, ” and that instrumental makes the whole thing feel even starker, like Equiknoxx were already more interested in mood and texture than crowd-pleasing excess.
