Runwhe Riddim – Equiknoxx Music

Equiknoxx were already teasing the kind of restless, speaker-rattling dancehall energy they’d later become known for, and Runwhe Riddim catches that mood in a tightly packed 2007 juggling with Alozade, Bling Dawg ft. T. O. K. , Chino, Hawkeye and Wayne Wonder all taking a swing at the same sharp instrumental. The cut has that lean, charged feel, with the voices pushed over a riddim that seems made for quick-fire rides and reloads rather than long, drawn-out hooks. Wayne Wonder’s “Bring It On” adds a smoother counterweight, while T. O. K. ’s “No Day” and Alozade’s “Nuh Bwoy Cyaa Step To Dis” keep the pressure on.
