Ice Overview

In 2010, a group of talented dancehall artists came together to help define a new sound. Aisha Davis, known for her smooth vocals, delivered "Hungry For You" on this project. Bastic & Mad Rhymes brought energy with "All The Girls," making their mark on the riddim. Charley Blacks, famous for his international hit "Party Animal," added his own flavor with "Good Friend." El Jay performed "Woman Alone," while Erup, who is well known for his song "Click Mi Finger," contributed "Pop The Bottle." Other artists on the release included Kym with "Cotton Candy," Macka Diamond with "Money Me Seh," Munga with "Thank You Jah," Nefatari with "All The Boys," and Riquey Bingham with "Addicted." Each track gave a different feel but stayed true to the dancehall style of the time. The street anthem sound was created by DIGIPLAY RECORDS, a label known for its digital releases and focus on modern dancehall. DIGIPLAY RECORDS has worked with several rising artists and is recognized for pushing the genre forward with fresh riddims. The base of this project is a classic example of 2010’s dancehall. The strong beats and catchy hooks made it a favorite in clubs and on the streets.
