I 95 Riddim 2009
I 95 Overview
The I 95 Riddim came from the well-known dancehall label, TJ Records. This label is famous for shaping the sound of modern dancehall, and in 2009, they released a set that left a strong mark on the genre. The riddim features a solid lineup of artists, each bringing their own style. Kashmiere’s “Money Fi A Flow” stands out with its catchy hook and smooth delivery. Sizzla, one of Jamaica’s most respected reggae and dancehall artists, delivers two tracks: “Pass Through” and “Work Di Nookie.” Sizzla is known worldwide for hits like “Just One of Those Days (Dry Cry)” and has released over 50 albums in his career, making him a true icon in the scene. Dexta Malawi’s “Zalla Malla” adds a unique energy to the riddim, while Blacker’s “Video Light” brings a playful vibe that fits perfectly with the dancehall party atmosphere. Harry Toddler, who was part of the legendary Scare Dem Crew, contributes “Brand,” showing his long-standing presence in dancehall. Warren T rounds out the set with “Hot Like Fire,” adding even more heat to the project. The riddim itself was crafted by TJ Records’ head producer, Linton “TJ” White. He is known for creating some of the biggest dancehall hits of the late 2000s and early 2010s, working with top names across the genre. Even years later, the I 95 Riddim brings back the fresh, club-ready sound of 2009.
