Carnival in the Caribbean is a time of bright colors, joyful dances, and nonstop music. In 2017, one of the standout sounds came from the Hornerman Riddim. This riddim became a favorite at carnival events, bringing crowds together with its lively beat and festive energy. The music arranger behind Hornerman Riddim helped shape its unique sound, blending traditional soca rhythms with modern touches. The project’s producer, Shot Master J, is known for his work in the soca scene and has produced tracks that are popular across the Caribbean. Shot Master J’s careful production made sure every song on the riddim fit perfectly together, keeping the energy high from start to finish. Several well-known artists brought their voices to Hornerman Riddim. M1 performed “Dutty Mas,” adding his signature style to the project. Shot Master J also contributed his own track, “Hornerman Riddim,” showing his skills not just as a producer but as a performer. Skinny Fabulous, who is famous for winning the St. Vincent Soca Monarch title multiple times, delivered the energetic song “Start It.” Tim Tim added “Unruly,” while Zan’s “Push It Back” kept the crowd moving.
