By 2017, Mashworks Family Studio had this one tucked into its soca catalogue as a tight five-cut package, and the approach feels more like a focused session than a sprawling compilation. D’Regulars’ “Come In, ” Jabari’s “Take It Easy, ” Karlijuan’s “Shake It, ” and The Service’s title track all ride the same upbeat pressure, with the instrumental parked in the middle to let the riddim speak for itself. The whole thing keeps a neat symmetry: four vocal turns wrapped around the bare version, which says Mashworks wanted the songs to hit hard in sequence and then leave the groove hanging on its own.
