A tight four-track soca set, Scorpio Riddim keeps things moving with a quick, party-ready pulse and enough space for each voicing to snap through cleanly. Mashworks Family Studio put it out in 2019, and the lineup is lean: Runi Jay and Killa B team up on “Wah Could Be Better” with Black Blingers in the mix, Warlord cuts through on “Go Down Low, ” and Yung Mickey leans into the sweeter side of the riddim with “Little Lady. ” The final cut, KJ and Mirage’s “Make You Bawl, ” closes it out with the kind of rowdy hook that suits the whole package, a compact, no-frills carnival-forward release that gets straight to the point.
