2013 was a busy moment in soca, when producers were chasing brighter Carnival energy without losing the grit in the drums, and Aquarion Studios’ Caliente Riddim sits right in that pocket with a lean four-song set that keeps the focus tight. Snakey’s “Hot” is the obvious spark plug, while Muddy’s “Look Good” and Loose Cannon’s “Style” ride the same driving pace with sharp, chant-ready hooks and a rubbery, heat-soaked pulse that feels made for road play; Deva’s “Allergic To Home” rounds out the sequence with the same no-frills bounce. The release clocks in at four tracks, all cut under Aquarion Studios’ name, and in later digital listings it runs just 13 minutes, which leaves the whole thing moving quickly and cleanly.
