Natural Disaster Riddim – Chimney Records

Chimney Records’ Natural Disaster Riddim lands in that hard-edged 2007 dancehall pocket where big-room energy meets sharp, pattering vocal rides, with Sizzla’s “Dem Hype” and Vybz Kartel’s “Wine Pon Yuh” among the cuts that anchor the set. Jordan McClure and David Hayle’s production name keeps popping up on the release notes, and the line-up does plenty of the talking too, moving from Delly Ranx and Nicky B through Voice Mail, Cezar, and Anarchy before closing on the version. It’s a 14-track juggling, with every tune credited to the same Chimney framework and the riddim itself carrying the title track as the final instrumental.
