Truck Stop Riddim – Martian Music

Martian Music’s Truck Stop Riddim came through in early 2017 as a compact soca set, and the lean four-track run keeps the focus on melody and party pace rather than clutter. Nadia Batson’s “Talk to We” leads with the kind of sharp, crowd-ready hook that lands quickly, while Alysha’s “Madda Dan Dat” keeps the energy buoyant and Terri Lyons’ “I Am Lion” adds a tougher edge without losing the fete feel. The instrumental sits at the back of the sequence, so the singers carry the weight here, and that’s a smart move: each cut runs about three and a half minutes, giving the riddim just enough room to breathe before it gets back to the jump-up. Terri Lyons closes the set with the strongest final punch, her vocal giving the whole release its firmest stamp.
