    Fire Wire Riddim - Lockedacity

Fire Wire Riddim came out of the Lockecity camp in 2018, and it sits squarely in that hard-driving dancehall space where militant chants and party-ready slackness share the same beat. Lockecity and the Locke brothers have long been part of the riddim circuit, with a catalogue that stretches across dancehall and reggae and includes projects like Gearbox, Tun Up, Temple Run and Bou Yah. Here they keep things fiery and direct, with an instrumental credited to Adrian and Steve Locke and a set of voicers that gives the rhythm real weight.

The riddim has a brisk, percussive pull and a gritty digital edge, the sort of riddim built for forward movement rather than lush atmosphere. The hooky, echo-heavy production leaves room for the singers and deejays to ride it with different moods: Sizzla turns in the opening “Launch Out” with his familiar uplift and urgency, while Capleton’s “Fire Man A Bun” hits the same militant lane with even more heat. Lutan Fyah’s “Sick and Tired” and Turbulence’s “Congo Man Come” bring roots-and-culture pressure, keeping the project grounded in consciousness.

The cast also widens the riddim’s scope. Beenie Man’s “She Nah Stop” adds the veteran dancehall swagger that helps a juggling breathe, while Major Mackerel’s “Gal A Road” and Lockecity’s own “We Dat” push it back toward pure street energy. Erup, Tyrical, Furious, Blacka Dan, Cush Hunta, DJ Sunshine and General B fill out a release that feels like a proper juggling, with enough variety to move from big-artist pull to local-camp identity without losing the frame.
