Exodus Riddim – Tuff Gong

Exodus Riddim comes from Tuff Gong and traces the classic Bob Marley and The Wailers anthem through a compact roots reggae set first issued in 1977, with later cuts running through the same foundation up to the 2006-style era noted in the post. Alongside Bob Marley’s Exodus and Damian Jr. Gong Marley’s Move! , the package also pulls in Dub Specialist, Tommy McCook and The Skatalites, and U-Roy, giving the riddim a broad lineup that bridges ska, roots, and dub. The Tommy McCook and Skatalites cut adds a vintage instrumental angle, while the U-Roy track Jah Son Of Africa gives the release an extra deep-cut feel. As with much of the Tuff Gong catalog, it leans on heavyweight Jamaican legacy and a melody that has stayed durable across generations.
