steady message of resilience. Born Christopher Gayle in St. Ann, he
began writing songs as a child and has spent more than two decades
building a career that moves between dancehall energy and conscious
reggae. Early on, he developed a reputation for positive, easygoing
songs that still carried enough street edge to work on sound
systems and stage shows alike.
His name started to spread through the local scene in the late
2000s and early 2010s, when songs such as “Jah Love Surround Me”
and other singles helped establish his sound. He worked with
producer Courtney McIntosh on a run of releases that included
“Still A Pray Fi Dem,” “One People,” and “Cyaan Program Me,”
strengthening his profile as an artist with a clear message and a
