Water Splash Riddim – Hypeyawdz Records

Hypeyawdz Records keeps this one lean and direct, which is a nice change of pace if you know the label mostly for bigger, busier dancehall productions. Water Splash Riddim only runs three cuts, but that gives Zoo Rass’ “Summa Again” plenty of room to sit in the pocket, and the remix with Cesco Jam gives the tune a second wind without losing the same summer-soaked bounce; the version track at the end lets the drum pattern and rippling synth line do the talking.
