Hypeyawdz kept Paranormal Riddim lean in 2012, and that’s part of its appeal: just three vocal cuts and the instrumental version, with Cesco Jam, Zoo Rass and Maximus each getting a tight run over the same dark framework. The rhythm itself feels stripped and menacing, built around a clipped digital bounce, a deep bassline and enough empty space for the vocals to cut through without getting crowded. “Murda Dem” has the most immediate pressure, while “Tekk Off” leans into the riddim’s terse, sparring cadence.
