Stronger Riddim lands in that tight, no-frills dancehall pocket where the knock of the drum and the bassline do most of the talking, and Jcannon Records keeps it moving with four short cuts from Dello, Jahide, Jodian Pantry and Sir Elgado. Dello’s “Miss You Mama” and Sir Elgado’s “Don’t Give A Heck About The World” bring the sharpest attitude to the set, while Jahide’s “Send From Above” and Jodian Pantry’s “Your Heart” lean into the more reflective side of the same groove, giving the riddim a bit of emotional range without losing its street edge. Released in 2018, the project runs as a compact four-track package, and each song clocks in at just under three minutes, so it moves quickly and leaves the hook doing the heavy lifting.
