A rough, militant dancehall cut with a dark stomp and plenty of room for gun-chat and street posture, Judgemental Riddim lands like it was made for the clash side of a sound system night. Madboss Music keeps the pace taut across eight voices, and Beenie Man’s “Brave Heart” gives the set its biggest pull, cutting through the harder-edged sides from D’Judge, Iyara and Jafrass with veteran ease. Shane O’s “Walking Mill” sits neatly in that same pressure zone, while the instrumental at the end leaves the pattern hanging in the air just long enough. It’s the kind of 2018 juggling that feels built for DJs more than playlists, right down to the quick little sting of the title track at the close.
