Blessed Love Riddim (2013) – Deano Deann

Blessed Love Riddim comes out of that 2013 roots-reggae pocket where the songs keep the pace measured and the message front and centre. Deano Deann keeps the arrangement warm and unhurried, with a heavy bassline undercutting the whole thing, so the voices can carry the weight without the riddim ever feeling thin. Craig Ed East, Fiyah Binghi, Gaza Maxwell, Livalect and Venom each take a different angle on the same foundation, moving from gratitude and guidance to sharper reflections and straight-up affirmation. Gaza Maxwell’s “Guide My Steps” is the cut that really lingers here, sitting right in the middle of the set and giving the project its clearest uplift before the closing version rolls it back into the groove.
