Black Forest Riddim – Caspa Productions

Black Forest Riddim keeps the focus tight with six cuts and no wasted motion. Caspa Productions lined up a mix of voices that move between hard-edged dancehall and rootsier turns, with Erup’s “Catch The Flight, ” Gyptian’s “Trouble Is Over, ” and Wayne Marshall’s “Wish You Well” giving it the broadest commercial pull. Stonebwoy’s “Be Mah Lova” adds a more melodic, continental sheen, while Gappy Ranks and Lutan Fyah lean the project back toward conscious, mid-tempo toast and sing-jay energy. Released in November 2018, the set runs just under twenty minutes, which suits the format: compact, punchy, and built around a rhythm that leaves room for each artist to put their own stamp on it. Lutan Fyah’s “When I’Ve Got You” closes it with the warmest finish, and that’s the one that lingers.
