A rugged, mid-tempo dancehall cut with a hard, slightly brooding edge, Golden Pain Riddim hangs its mood on tight percussion and a heavy low end before lining up three straight vocal turns from Teejay, Vershon, and Govana. Teejay’s “Pray” and Govana’s “Golden Plan” are the kind of tracks that stick because they ride the rhythm with purpose, while Vershon’s “Enemy” keeps the tension in the air.
