Aidonia’s “Guard Ring” sets the tone for this 2018 Gerusalem Music cut with a hard, spare dancehall pulse that feels tailor-made for the war chest titles running through it. Around him, Shane O flips into “Face Off” mode, Deablo teams with Shokryme on “Death Fi Dem, ” and Size 10’s “Wid The Mack 10” keeps the gunplay imagery moving, while Suhverto’s “Point Blank Range” and Gerard Howard’s instrumental close the circle. Gerry Digital keeps the production lean and tense, more jagged than glossy, so the whole thing sits right in that era when straightforward street riddims still carried plenty of weight.
