Stardom Riddim – Street Music

Streetwise energy is what Stardom Riddim is built on, with Street Music lining up seven cuts in 2011 and keeping the focus on song and voice rather than any fancy gimmicks. Beenie Man’s “Likle Miss” and Bounty Killer’s “Gone Yah Now” give the juggling its biggest pull, while Cee Gee turns up twice and helps give the set a rough, local feel that sits right in the middle of early-2010s dancehall. There’s a directness here that feels closer to sound system business than radio polish, which is part of the charm.
