Muted and moody, Mix Feelings Riddim keeps its focus tight with just three cuts, letting each voice land without the usual juggling clutter. Domaineo’s “African Princess” opens it with a proud, roots-leaning tilt, Tony Proppa rides the title track with a more direct dancehall approach, and Mystro closes the set on “Pray To The Father, ” which shifts the mood toward something more reflective and devotional. The production has that clean, modern 2011 feel, but it never gets glossy enough to blur the personalities on top. That balance is what gives the release its pull: each artist gets room to frame the riddim differently, and Mystro’s turn leaves the sharpest aftertaste with its earnest, prayerful finish.
