Type R Riddim – Good Good Productions

There’s a lean, high-tempo dancehall charge running through Type R Riddim, the kind of 2011 juggling that keeps the pace tight and the hooks quick, with Popcaan’s “Jeans So” and Assassin’s “Nuh Loose Ting” doing a lot of the heavy lifting. Good Good Productions keeps the rhythm crisp and straight ahead, and you can hear that same clipped, party-ready momentum in Voicemail’s “Dancing Me Seh” and Future Fambo’s “Party Of The Year, ” which sit nicely against the more street-facing talk from Munga and Chi Ching. It’s a nine-track set with an instrumental tucked in at the end, almost as if the riddim itself wanted one more spin.
