This dub cut was a key part of 1999’s roots sessions and still stands out for its smooth flow and timeless vibe. Several well-known artists added their voices to this riddim. Anthony B recorded the song "2000" for this project. Anthony B is famous for his energetic performances and conscious lyrics, and his debut album "Real Revolutionary" helped launch his career in the 1990s. Barrington Levy & Cutty Ranks teamed up for "My Woman", blending Barrington Levy’s signature vocals—known from his hit "Here I Come"—with Cutty Ranks’ strong deejay style. General Pecus performed "Hotter Than Before", while George Nooks delivered "Just A Moment". Loiue Culture contributed "Wanted", adding his own roots flavor. The riddim was selected by roots DJs and released on the Spragga Roots label. SPRAGGA ROOTS, the producer, is respected for supporting roots reggae and pushing the genre forward in the late 1990s. The label became known for working with important reggae artists and bringing fresh sounds to the scene. Overall, this dub cut and the full riddim played a big part in 1999’s reggae roots revival.
