A lean, mid-tempo dancehall pulse runs through Runaway Riddim, with a rubbery bassline and enough space in the groove for the voices to cut cleanly through. Zack Ariyah Productions keeps the arrangement tight on this 2014 set, and Jah Torius’ “Me She Want” feels like the sharpest match for it, riding the rhythm with a smooth, sly pull while Zamunda’s “All The Gyal Dem” leans into the same flirtatious energy from a different angle. Mr Melody’s “Run Away” gives the riddim its title-track moment, and the producer’s own instrumental closes things out like a proper version cut.
