Queen Face Riddim (2002) – 2 Sweet Production

2 Sweet Production’s Queen Face Riddim feels like a lean little dancehall set rather than one of those oversized early-2000s packages, and that works in its favour. With just four cuts, there’s no filler: Anthony B’s “Queen Face” leans into the tougher side of the rhythm with his usual militant edge, while Frisco Kid’s “Straight” keeps the energy sly and sharp. Vybz Kartel’s “Joe Grind” is the one that tends to linger, riding the pattern with that cold, clipped delivery he was already known for. The producer credit goes to 2 Sweet Production, with the instrumental “2 Sweet M Top Secret” opening things up and setting the tone.
