Passage Fort Riddim leans on a sturdy one-drop pulse and a conscious roots lineup that keeps the message front and center. Ino Ino’s 2003 production gathers a useful cross-section of voices, from Anthony B’s militant “Stop Fight Reggae Music” and Bushman’s “Reason” to Jah Mason, Luciano, George Nooks and Richie Stephens, so the set moves between uplift, warning songs and more personal reflections without losing its calm, earthy feel. The writing has that early-2000s reggae confidence, where social commentary and spirituality sit side by side, and the riddim gives each singer enough room to stretch out without getting cluttered. The late-rank track that lingers longest is Luciano’s “Music In My Body, ” with its easy authority and melodic lift, but Anthony B’s opener sets the tone with the sharpest edge.
