Peter Coppin’s Monstapiece production lines up six voices without crowding the riddim, and the stronger cuts come from Blaxx’s rum-soaked “Ten To One, ” Devon Mathews’ sharp-edged “Busy, ” and Edwin Yearwood’s cheeky “Ya Begging. ” Lil Rick keeps the pressure on with “Shut Ya Mouth, ” while Kerwin Du Bois and Fadda Fox add their own styles without breaking the flow. Released in 2013, it lands right in that Barbados-heavy moment when soca was leaning hard into catchy hooks, big percussion and party-ready choruses for the summer circuit.
