Iyanola Riddim – Stratosphere Muzic

Iyanola Riddim has that bright, carnival-season soca energy that feels made for roadside parties and fetes, with Stratosphere Muzic keeping the arrangement lean enough for the vocals to do the talking. Mongstar’s “Saint Lucia We Love” gives the set a proud local flavor, while Mr. Killa’s “Do You Wanna Party” is the obvious crowd-mover here, landing in both clean and raw versions and leaning hard into the call-and-response pressure that makes soca work. Scady gets the same treatment on “Hey Scady, ” which gives the release a little extra DJ utility, and Ambi and Budz keep the momentum rolling without overcomplicating things. The project surfaced in late 2013, and with eight tracks in just under half an hour, it plays like a compact snapshot of that year’s island party sound.
