Bumbo Riddim – Monstapiece Entertainment

Bumbo Riddim arrives under the Monstapiece Entertainment name, the Barbadian operation founded by Peter Coppin, whose work has long connected studio production, DJ culture and Crop Over’s wider soca circuit. This four-track edition places that established Bajan imprint beside voices from different corners of Caribbean music rather than limiting the riddim to one territory or scene.

Walkes opens the set with “Road Way, ” a title already circulating in Barbados’ 2026 Crop Over conversation through its Power Soca Monarch association. Its inclusion gives the project a direct road-and-stage reference point. Luni Spark follows with “Position, ” separating one half of the Grenadian duo Luni Spark and Electrify for an individual entry on the shared backing; it is a useful reminder of how riddim releases can create a different frame for artists usually heard in a group setting.

Govana’s “Mi Seh” moves the sequence into Jamaican dancehall territory, while Alison Hinds closes with “Wine Pun It, ” bringing one of Barbados’ most recognisable soca voices back into a Monstapiece-linked setting. That pairing is particularly apt given Coppin’s long production history in Bajan soca, including earlier work associated with Hinds and Square One.

The result is a short, cross-island riddim package: four separate records, each retaining its own artist identity while carrying the same Monstapiece production banner.
